This large tanker was torpedoed by U-103 about 45 miles southeast of Cape May New Jersey on Wednesday, February 4, 1942. The tanker was enoute, unescorted to New Jersey from Corpus Cristi, Texas. It now lies in 185 feet upside down with the photographic propellors looming over the hull.
