This large freighter was built in the midwest by American Ship Builders of Lorain, Ohio in 1918. Within two years this new coastal transport sank due to a collision with the S.S. Cumus south of Long Beach Island. On July 12, 1920  two passenger killed when the port side of the Frampton was stove in

This wreck was positively identified when Dennis Huber recovered letters from the stren. 80 feet. The nick name is the Glory.
